Audience Member This film is a great reminder that there is often much more to a person than what you first perceive. For countless Ohioans making a trip to Cleveland to catch an Indians or Cabs game (or just for a random visit), The Sax Man has been a constant presence. Without fail, he's out playing his sax for everyone to hear as they pass by. Now, we get to hear the rest of the story...and experience a very satisfying moment of joy as Maurice seeks one more shot at a major performance. Watch this with your whole family, it's a great flick! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I may be biased, but this film ROCKS!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this at the Cleveland International Film Festival 2014. I loved this documentary about Cleveland's most famous busker, Maurice Reedus Jr.. It is full of shots of Cleveland and the people who live here. Joe Siebert and his crew capture tons of performances by The Sax Man in various locales around Cleveland. Whether you go to sporting events or the theatre in Cleveland, you will have seen and heard The Sax Man. But who is he?? Maurice and his friends and family are interviewed to find out who he is. It is an inspirational tale. Maurice Reedus Sr. was a professional sax player as well. Maurice is shown to be uber-talented and we see him re-unite with the Motown group he used to play with, Sly Slick & Wicked. However, the difficulties of performing on the street and making a living are portrayed too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
