Crisóstomo, um pescador solitário, decide criar um filho e acaba conhecendo Camilo, um menino órfão. Enquanto os dois constroem um vínculo delicado, outras pessoas passam a integrar essa nova família improvável, como Isaura e Antonino. Daniel Rezende, conhecido por Cidade de Deus, Bingo e pelos filmes da Turma da Mônica, surpreende ao dirigir e roteirizar um verdadeiro poema visual, marcado por sensibilidade, belas imagens e um elenco afinado. Rodrigo Santoro entrega um Crisóstomo silencioso, carregado de dor, mas também de afeto e sabedoria. Assim, o pescador reúne ao seu redor figuras rejeitadas: um órfão, uma mulher vítima de abusos e um homem gay sufocado pelo preconceito. The film is incredibly poetic, touching and philosophical. I almost never recommend movies, but this one is truly worth watching. The world needs more Crisóstomos in times like these.
