Michael Clark Epoch Times Much like any great performance, “The Sound of 007” understands that brevity is preferable over excess, and it’s always better to leave the audience wanting more instead of wearing them out, or worse, boring them. Rated: 4/5 Jan 2, 2023 Full Review Nathaniel Rogers The Film Experience When it focuses on No Time To Die it feels way too much like an FYC campaign rather than a real documentary, but the non-No Time To Die parts are fabulous and well worth a watch if you love anecdotes from musicians and Bond, James Bond. Dec 29, 2022 Full Review Danielle Solzman Solzy at the Movies The Sound of 007 offers some spectacular insight in just under 90 minutes but there's probably enough material out there for a documentary series. Illumino P The documentary effectively breaks down the music of the Bond franchise in numerous interesting ways. The pacing drags at points, but nevertheless, it's certainly my favorite documentary I've seen so far. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/23 Full Review roland n A little pissed off that they spent time on most of the Bond themes save one - the best one of all..... You Know My Name by Chris Cornell from Casino Royale. Nothing - not even an explanation as to why it was not being spot lighted. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Josh G This is a fun doc with a focus way to much on the current gen, no time to die film. The older songs gets brief moments and are passed over mention for your Eyes only, living daylights. While the a bulk of the meat is focused on John Barry and super nice to see how his compositions came about. Then we cut back to Billie Ellish saying something unrelated and silly, Rhianna should not do a bond song. I like a lot of it but it pulls focus to much to current. If we had spent an equal amount of time with each song, this would work a lot better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/20/22 Full Review Read all reviews
