Daniel C. M Better than i expected, while yes, the wooden acting from the adults (the kids actually did a decent job) may get in the way one time or another, it's still an engaging story about the horrors of nuclear war told with a thrilling sci-fi spin that gets you hooked on. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Audience Member OK sci-fi fantasy pic playing on the paranoia of the fifties Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Strange plot, bad acting, cheap off-screen effects, and a slow boring pace. Just about the average B-movie you'll find on MST3K. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member In the late fifties, there was a surgence of a lot of films dealing with the nuclear scare and the Cold War, and The Space Children is really no exception at all. It's not even a highlight, if you ask me. It deals with a group of families whose kids somehow come under the power of a mysterious alien that has landed on the beach nearby. That's about all I can say without getting into spoilers, but trust me when I say that even spoilers couldn't hurt this movie. It's not all that engaging, and boring most of the time with trite dialogue and situations. The kids do a decent job I suppose, but everything surrounding that is just tiresome. Nothing more really needs to be said, other than the fact that The Film Crew did an episode on this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Sean Axmaker Seanax.com Arnold creates a Cold War movie where the fear of nuclear war is, for many of the civilians of the base, greater than the fear of the enemy. Jul 16, 2016 Full Review John Beifuss Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) Released before Eisenhower's address about 'the military-industrial complex,' the film asks moviegoers to cheer on the essentially terroristic efforts of a saboteur alien brain: It thus asserts that morality transcends national and even species identity.
