Englishman Jim Wingate (Warner Baxter) loves Lady Diana Kerhill (Eleanor Boardman), who's married to his cousin, an earl charged with embezzlement. Jim courageously takes the blame for the crime to clear the earl's name, then escapes to the American frontier for a fresh start. He marries Naturach (Lupe Velez), a beautiful Native American, but their bliss is interrupted when, following the earl's death, Lady Diana tracks Jim down, planning to confess she's always secretly yearned for him.
