jelisije j The movie had potential... thats about it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Alice see what the sun does, 35 and all those lines and not taught skin but still nice bod. As an upper society woman whose husband was killed and child stolen for ransom she was rather emotionless, but I think during the Victorian period as an upper society woman you were supposed act that way?? A mother's love has no end. Anyway she treks across the mountains to find her child with several gunslingers, prostitutes and a Maori named Matai whom his respect for Charlotte gives it away that he will be a hero in someway. The movie is ok as with most Netflix movies. I'm thinking of giving up my Netflix account as I'm not a Netflix series watcher and the movies on it are equal to free Tubi or Pluto, Xumo or Vudu or Yuyu and Tubi has better documentaries. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie is incredible! I noticed, besides being incredibly beautiful, her eyes were different colors. When the movie was over I got on my computer to Google her and find out if her eyes really were different colors or if was "special" effects. To my joy I ended up here and found out she really does have different color eyes!! You just gotta watch the movie, it is awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Meh it is slow and poorly paced. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It had a lot of potential and show's off a lot of beautiful scenery and shows off a wild setting that is crying out for more exposure. Unfortunately the story is slow and rather bland. Whist it is far from unpleasant it leaves much to be desired. If it's on I'd give it a watch but don't go out of your way to seek it out unless you have a strong hankering for New Zeland in her 'wild west' era Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I kept wanting this movie to get better, but it didn't. It was just the story keeping me watching it to see the outcome of the movie, but it was horrible dialog and unconvincing bad acting that ruined this movie. Too bad because the cinematography and the costumes were great. I will add that Stan Walker (Matai)did a great performance, and was the most convincing character in the movie. Andrew Murray The Upcoming The Stolen is at its best when it focuses on its mystery element. Rife with intrigue and unexpected twists throughout, the film makes for an entertaining journey into the frontier. It's a shame that this wasn't given the focus it deserved. Rated: 3/5 Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Stephanie Cooke Rogues Portal The film moves at a snails pace and while it shows off a lot of beautiful scenery, it takes about 30 minutes for something to happen outside of the initial hubbaloo that sets Charlotte off in the first place. Aug 20, 2018 Full Review Paul Chambers Movie Chambers "The Stolen" is pretty much an all-around disaster. The story defies logic at every turn. Rated: D Jan 11, 2018 Full Review Toby Woollaston New Zealand Herald Ultimately you'll leave the theatre feeling that plenty more should have been made of its promising set-up. Dec 27, 2017 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz ... The Stolen does have the look of a high-class revenge movie, just one that's sadly let down by predictable plotting and overwrought and off-kilter final act. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 21, 2017 Full Review Neil Smith Total Film A western as inept as it is preposterous. Rated: 2/5 Oct 30, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
