Ricardo Gallegos But Why Tho? A Geek Community A fun ghost story that doesn't innovate one bit but doesn't overstay its welcome either. Rated: 6.5/10 Jun 9, 2021 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media If you take this quirky movie from Austria as a kind of throwback to the goofy but not entirely scary teen-led mysteries of the 1980s, you may just enjoy yourself. Rated: 3/5 Jun 2, 2021 Full Review Daniel Hart Ready Steady Cut It's a murder mystery by design, but unfortunately, it basks itself in other tropes and themes but never truly lands on the messages. Rated: 2.5/5 May 14, 2021 Full Review Jade Budowski Decider Delivers a story both legitimately scary and emotionally resonant. May 14, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member It was ok. Kind of like a Friday night after school movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/13/22 Full Review patric n It took me a moment until I understood this was a movie aimed at kids. The family seems mostly normal but then the movie introduces a few weird eccentric characters and after a while you recognize the formula. A teenaged boy, a teenaged girl and a nerdy weird boy who's solving a mystery together. This is a slow burner supernatural murder mystery horror movie for kids and teenagers, however the movie can be a little gross and scary so some kids might want to watch it together with someone older. It's an OK movie for adults as long as you can stand some overacting weird characters. It's in German but the dubbed version on Netflix is pretty good. The reason this movie has a PG-13 rating is that the dubbed version has a character whispering the F-word. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Sergio C Just from the first scene in the car that boy needs to learn some manners disrespectful litlle bum I kept hoping he would of been killed in the first 10 mins, oh and the movie was crap Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/21 Full Review Audience Member SampAH, FILM CEMEN - OGUY. NGANG NGONG NGANG NGONG NI PILM Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member 16-year-old Hendrik, his younger brother Eddie, and their mom Sabine have just moved to a small village-like town in the north of Austria because of Sabine's line of work. Hendrik is not happy. Soon enough, Hendrik discovers his new home was the stage of a murder followed by suicide where a mom killed her children. Eddie seems to be the channel for some ghost, as he starts acting weird. Given this movie's rating, I wasn't expecting much. The horror elements are very light with a few jumpscares, some real, some fake. There is little violence, either implied or non-visual. The movie centers on four kids, the older of them is 16 years old, so you know you won't see anything scary. This movie reminds me a lot of "Are you afraid of the dark?" To me, there were two mysteries. One was solved, the other, I don't know. What motivated the murder. And why the hell everyone in this town is so creepy or weird for no reason. If it is because their new guests live in a haunted house, it just seems odd. Especially because we get facts that they were weird-os towards the old inhabitants of the same house, so people are just random weird-mot********** for no reason. A childish abrupt ending seals the deal for this movie. Maybe because elaborating on a better ending could lead to a higher parental rating.
