Ein herrlicher Gruselfilm für Kinder und Jugendliche, ein guter Familienfilm nach dem gleichnamigen Roman von Martina Wildner. Trotz seines kinderfreundlichen Charakters schafft der Film gruselig und unterhaltsam zu sein. León Orlandianyi ist gut in der Rolle von Hendrik.

It took me a moment until I understood this was a movie aimed at kids. The family seems mostly normal but then the movie introduces a few weird eccentric characters and after a while you recognize the formula. A teenaged boy, a teenaged girl and a nerdy weird boy who's solving a mystery together. This is a slow burner supernatural murder mystery horror movie for kids and teenagers, however the movie can be a little gross and scary so some kids might want to watch it together with someone older. It's an OK movie for adults as long as you can stand some overacting weird characters. It's in German but the dubbed version on Netflix is pretty good. The reason this movie has a PG-13 rating is that the dubbed version has a character whispering the F-word.
