Clotilde Chinnici The Indiependent With a stronger focus on its settings and themes, this could have been an interesting film. As it stands, although The Tearsmith is visually interesting this is undermined by a mediocre script and forgettable story. Rated: 2/5 Jul 27, 2025 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com This is that movie that feels like a car crash that you simply can’t look away from. You love it and you hate it but once you start it you can’t stop it. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Twilight meets the After series in this tortured teen romance from Italy that features an excellent lead performance and murky undertones of childhood loss and trauma. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Ready Steady Cut Overall, The Tearsmith is a teen romance suitable for younger audiences who aren’t old enough to know any better. Rated: 2/5 Apr 6, 2024 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community The Tearsmith is an utterly confusing, absolutely uninteresting mess of a movie. With no redeeming qualities, one can only hope that these clearly passionate teenage actors get more chances to participate in projects worthy of their time. Rated: 2/10 Apr 5, 2024 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider The Tearsmith doesn’t really ever address the potential ickiness of this... Maybe this theme found fuller expression in the novel, but in the film, it can’t align itself with the overdone riffing on fairy tales, wolves, and innocent damsels. Bonnie S I literally kept waiting for when the movie would get interesting. But it never did, good actors but bad story line, it was a cliche romance story where u could already predict they both had feelings for each other immediately the parent requested to adopt the guy also, would not recommend! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/21/25 Full Review Megan A Not for everyone but I loved it. If you like fantasy romance books, you might like this romance (not fantasy) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/25 Full Review Khetiwe M The movie is full of cliches. I couldn’t watch it to the end. What made it even more unwatchable was that it is Italian characters but the school and all the settings are American. This just didn’t make sense. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/31/25 Full Review Tatevik A If you wanna watch a good enemies to lovers this is a must watch, it’s fun, interesting and would definitely recommend, the only problem was how short the movie was, the ending was VEEERY rushed Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Sarfaraz A I've never seen such a bad movie till this one. I generously rate this 1.5/5 stars, but it doesn't even deserve that. The plot is a cliche, but it is so entirely confusing, and things are going by so fast, and there is so much not interpreted right, which leaves you stuck partway. The dialogues are beyond corny and cringeworthy, even the scenes. Save your time and stick to the Twilight Saga, you'll be putting your time to use there, I guess. Production could've been better, and the actors are not to blame. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Alberta N So bad, such a cliche. Watched 5 minutes and then turned it off when they pretended it was sexy that the male lead unprovoked placed a firm hand on the female leads thigh. (They weren't romantically involved and she gave 0 signs that she was interrested in that sort of thing) Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Read all reviews
