Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com This is that movie that feels like a car crash that you simply can’t look away from. You love it and you hate it but once you start it you can’t stop it. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Twilight meets the After series in this tortured teen romance from Italy that features an excellent lead performance and murky undertones of childhood loss and trauma. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Ready Steady Cut Overall, The Tearsmith is a teen romance suitable for younger audiences who aren’t old enough to know any better. Rated: 2/5 Apr 6, 2024 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community The Tearsmith is an utterly confusing, absolutely uninteresting mess of a movie. With no redeeming qualities, one can only hope that these clearly passionate teenage actors get more chances to participate in projects worthy of their time. Rated: 2/10 Apr 5, 2024 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider The Tearsmith doesn’t really ever address the potential ickiness of this... Maybe this theme found fuller expression in the novel, but in the film, it can’t align itself with the overdone riffing on fairy tales, wolves, and innocent damsels. Apr 5, 2024 Full Review Aurora Amidon Paste Magazine If someone were to compile a comprehensive list of young adult romance genre tropes, it would likely be a spitting image of Netflix’s The Tearsmith. Andrea Victoria R A somewhat predictable film, I don't understand why although it was filmed in Italy it had an English setting and the characters had English names, I feel that the plot is not narrated in the best way and I feel that the furor the film has had is because the main character is extremely handsome. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review cecilia c The script is really bad, the actor's abilities are questionable at best, and even the editing is poor. It's remarkable to find a film where there’s nothing redeemable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review Jordan S Surprisingly compelling film keeping you guessing and wanting more. It isn't scripting genius and doesn’t have groundbreaking cinematography, but Genovesi interweaving of love, loyalty, and pain creates an element of unique beauty amongst the two protagonists. The ending is abrupt and leaves some plot line questions, however, it’s worth the watch if you’re in the mood for a guilty tear-inducing romance weeknight romance flick. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review LANA C A brilliant movie that sheds light on behavioural patterns of psychologically traumatized people - the feeling of unworthiness can take you far away from where you want to be. The actors did an amazing job – the sexual tension between the characters was palpable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Jennifer K This movie is wonderful. It Acceptance with pain and love and unrequited feelings. It shows love At many different ages and many different scenarios. This is not a movie that tells you not what to think , but allows you to Think and feel for yourself. I believe this movie is 10 stars. This movie shows a fairy tale can be inside of a nightmare. BEST MOVIE EVER Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Stanley I Lots of trauma in this movie and the cast plays it well, Peter, Adeline, Riegel, and Nica. You can see and feel the haunting in their characters. Trauma can lead to mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Symptoms of PTSD include intrusive thoughts, avoidance of reminders, and feeling numb Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews
