Audience Member This is one of only two movies that my wife and I walked out of in the middle. The star is on the phone for the whole movie. This film is all about terribly boring telephone conversations, and nothing else. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/19/24 Full Review Karl N The most exciting part of the movie is her goldfish crisis. That should not be a highlight in any movie other than Finding Nemo. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/12/24 Full Review Demented N Great movie ! Love The movie personally it's a great movie about being lonely and just having your self to talk too Professionaly it's bad though Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I Really Like This Film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This made it on my Top 3 Worst Movies Ever List! The stupidest movie I ever have seen for sure!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I grew up watching a lot of films but there are only a few that I look back on that really shaped and matured my understanding of cinema. The Telephone is one of those. It is a little indie movie starring Whoopi Goldberg and the entire movie is one woman, in her apartment... on the phone! That's it!! It became a notorious flop and Goldberg took its makers to court to try and stop its home video release (she lost). But I really struggle to understand how this can be considered a BAD movie... its not. I think its one of Whoopi's best performances and while some people find the subject to be boring, I find it fascinating. It needs to be seen several times to fully understand whats going on. Rip Torn directed this little lost gem and it deserves to be seen. I spent years trying to source a dvd copy and finally found it recently... Does anyone remember it?? It certainly must hold the record as one of the WORST poster/cover art movies of all time, I admit that!! lol Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
