k M @RT96446751 May 1 Adore Forrest Tucker, even as a nasty villain! His normally smooth voice was adequately gravelly and threatening! Audrey Totter was lovely as the cool beauty who can out think and outdraw any man. Of course she ultimately falls for the handsome Scott Brady as Blandy. He's adequate for the role, but he's mostly the kind that women can dream about and doesn't offer much in the way of acting. THE VANISHING AMERICAN is ridiculously trite, but the film made me feel sandy grit between my teeth. The background made me fill my water bottle several times, and the supporting cast of the Navajo girl and her grandfather chief were both sympathetic and admirable in their stoic strength. Definitely recommend for some fresh faces and the good guys winning still! See more Read all reviews
