Steve D Melodramatic but really well done. Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/25/23 Full Review s r I expect that producers were hopeful to capitalize on Barrymore's role. However, it came across flat and perhaps did not fare well since the plot was too nuanced for audiences at the time. It could have been so much better with better writing and direction. Instead it waffled in purpose and left me wanting more. Props for exposing DC corruption through lobbyists and Senators, and how corruption is not always black and white. Saw on TCM.
