Gerard M @RT22583612 8 hrs ago This is Arguably the worst crime thriller I have ever watched, big let down from de niro. Thought de niro was the only spark in this, hence the half star. Other than him this is a 0/5. Film makes no sense and is written so bad. Especially that last fighting scene and the scene in the cell. Guy litterally took on 3 people, fell throught the roof of a 3 story building, survived and was then strangled by an old man. Crime movies and thrillers in general are pretty much gone. The scorcese days are long gone. Highly recommend not wasting your Friday/Saturday evening watching this muck. See more gerald H @RottenGary 13 hrs ago Meeeh. Ok! Leaved me wondering where its going and drops hints and whispers while guiding me along. Like a who done it. Which is great. I have 3 issues with his movie: 1. The fanboy in the basement. He could be written a whole lote better throughout the movie. His involvement or interactions didnt give creeps or like a sophisticated psycho adorer. Just bonus character. No backstory nothing. Some proof shown to cops and let go again. 2. Kid gets taken. House get searched by 20 cops, but didnt find the two bodies 30 min. Which 1 gets found by a cop??? 3. The kid somehow knowing all the clues makes no sense. Who is he Haley Joel Osment from the six sense? Well eventually the story leads us to the end. With a real silence of the lamps moment were detective is face to face with the killer. A chase ensues, killer escapes with kid. Doesnt kill the kid. Kid gets freed. Killer chases kid again. The storyline was incredibly predictable and felt like something that’s been done so many times before. It was far too long, dragged on, and never really built any genuine suspense. You’d think with Robert De Niro involved, you’d be in for a decent thriller, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. I genuinely struggled to finish it. Very disappointing.
