Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness ... a supernatural thriller that utilizes the superstitions, the rites of passage, that accompany the profession of acting, to ask deeper questions about purpose and what one’s willing to give of themselves to find their own. Rated: 3/5 Mar 5, 2024 Full Review Norman Gidney HorrorBuzz The Woman Under the Stage really works when it pays homage to the theatre. The sacrifices that are made, the ghosts that are born, and the space that they inhabit. Seth M Great psychological horror movie with a strong cast except for maybe one person. Slow but stylish and well acted enough to make up for it. No nudity or gore but plenty of story if that's your thing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Sean K Perfectly acceptable psychological drama with a few scary scenes to give it a little extra oomph. Low budget and some minor flaws to prove it but not so poor that they detract. Quite impressive and would recommend. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/23 Full Review Horseback Productions A solid thriller. I was very impressed with the acting and the storyline. Well directed and conceptually very exciting. The mirror/reflection theme was very effective. All around a great spooky movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Julie E The Woman Under the Stage offers a slow burn and lots of wicked twists and turns. Riveting performances and fantastic filming are coupled with a fascinating script. Jessica Willis is vulnerable yet steely in her port of a tortured actress trying to play the role of a lifetime. I particularly loved the intensity of Phil Harrison's character-Phillip Costigan. It's creepy and he seems to come out of the screen to menace the audience. Matthew Tompkins pushes his character into all the minds of theater goers with a burning will. The movie will leave you thinking about ALL the choices in your life! Sophisticated, artistic and brooding with a genius score, it's definitely a must-see for all theater, psychological thriller and horror fans! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Victoria L I thought that this movie was very intense and brooding but not at the expense of the audience. Everything about it draws you in closer, forcing you to reckon with themes of mortality, legacy, artistic expression, and so much more. Truly a movie that you will either "get" or not get. Both are fine but viewing with an open mind allows for a somewhat spiritual experience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/24/23 Full Review Jerry N Fans of theater and psychological horror will probably love it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
