Peyton Robinson RogerEbert.com Even with classic rivalries and storybook romance attempts, ‘The Wrong Paris’ just doesn’t scratch a genuine itch. Rated: 1/4 Sep 15, 2025 Full Review Adrian Horton Guardian The Wrong Paris, written by Nicole Henrich and directed by Janeen Damian, somehow serves the synthetic sugar of both The Bachelor and the Hallmark movie without any sweetness. The formula is there, but not the flavor. Rated: 2/5 Sep 12, 2025 Full Review Glenn Kenny New York Times While the movie’s production design has considerable mojo, the anodyne writing reins in whatever satire one might have expected. Sep 12, 2025 Full Review Rachel Leishman The Mary Sue While the movie is absolutely outlandish, it is a beautiful addition to the rom-com genre because it is new and different. Sep 24, 2025 Full Review Pablo O. Scholz Clarín Not everything in the script is linear, and the chemistry that's required between the protagonists...can be found in your living room. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/4 Sep 22, 2025 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Frothy and easy on the eyes, this romcom is chock full of stereotypes, but it does exactly what it sets out to do. Nicole P I absolutely loved it. It had just the perfect amount of humor, wit, warmth, and love! I have watched it 3 times already and love it even more every time! Just an amazing and feel good movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/16/25 Full Review Alang A I had high hopes for this movie’s premise, but the moment they landed in the wrong Paris, everything turned into a cheap comedy mess. Every actor looked like they were in a different movie zero chemistry. The romance plot is so cliché you can predict the ending from the first glance they share. Don’t watch this if you’re hoping for something refreshing or thought-provoking. This one’s a horror show. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/08/25 Full Review Tygari D This movie has its good moments and bad moments. Durign the good moments the story is great and is quite funny making me laugh quite a bit. this was dampened by several bad moments also that uust didnt make sense and were total cringe making me wonder what the writers were thinking to include such an aweful scene. Still if you can get past the bad moments the good moments are worth the watch. With more good than bad this movie is worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/07/25 Full Review Naomi P. The Wrong Paris, in my opinion is a movie worthy of 2 stars. The beginning and the ending of this movie are the best parts of this movie. Other than that, every scene is either stupid, corny, or absurd. Of course, there are certain scenes in the movie that are fine and make sense, but other than those, the rest of the scenes could make someone gag. If you like Miss Congeniality and Mean Girls, this movie is for you, but if you like movies with concentrated storylines, I wouldn’t recommend this for you. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/04/25 Full Review Garreth Keith T Doesn't pretend to be more than anything it should be. A rom-com the works, in an era that is not to kind to that genre. Happy to see Miranda Crossgrove in a lead role. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/25 Full Review Donavin D It’s a film that, for all its faults, does have an interesting modern premise: what if we made a film about a terrible reality dating television show? Unfortunately that was the only interesting thing going for it. Miranda Cosgrove somehow finds herself in this self indulgent rom com adjacent mess of a film with AI scripted one liners and cliche plot point after cliche plot point. The film does, to its credit, make me smile an embarrassing smile for how horribly and accurately written its cast of fame seeking, self aggrandizing influencers — only knowing this from unfortunately indulging in many brain rotting Netflix produced realty shows myself. The plot however, is so groan inducing and copy and paste than any I have seen in a while. The two main love interests are initially uninterested, become more interested over a series of time, coincidentally find they have more in common and choose each other over whatever item/job/money was threatening to keep them apart. It’s a formula that can work but this film doesn’t do anything to impart anything special to that formula outside of the setting which doesn’t do enough to differentiate. Forgoing the more engaging and believable ups and downs of a romance in favor of a fast incline and a quickly solved 3rd act conflict. Overall I think this was just a lazy boring attempt to continue this trend of lazy modernized rom coms with no heart or interesting story to tell. Conversely telling the most cookie cutter story inclusive of real life influencers, I’m looking at you Harry, a ‘unique’ hook and a big enough name to package it all together. You’re better off watching sleepless in Seattle for the 105th time, folks. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/25 Full Review Read all reviews
