female coming of age movie, but I could feel the pain of this little girl and I'm a grown man. There are times when I had to suspend disbelief more than what I'd like, but they were nitpicky things. When you rate a movie like this, you don't compare it to Citizen Kane, you accept it for what it is. I thought the emotional elements we're not sappy and overall, the film works really well.

It was a good movie. The sad part was that you don't get to find out who Elizabeth Gray birth mother is. It would then have been 5 stars.

I am not sure why tis movie got so many bad ratings, maybe because it does not cater to U.S American sensibilities or normal taste. I loved this movie the actors where great as was the whole 70's feel.
