Amy Taubin Film Comment Magazine [It] contains two of the most mindbogglingly choreographed, thrillingly extended pursuit scenes-one on foot and one in cars-that I've ever seen. Online A Korean cinema has some exceptional action movies. Yellow Sea had good direction, cinematography, characters, acting, & script. The movie was long, yet maintained a healthy pace. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Audience Member The best Korean movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Joel C You want hacking with hatchets and stabbing with long knives, this film's got you covered. A man trying to make some money and find his wife at the same time gets into one hell of a mess. There's some intense scenes that'll keep you on the edge of your seat and buckets of blood to wash it down. This film is really well made and worth watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/21 Full Review leonardo j Way too fanciful! You have to be a huge fan of action movies to ignore so many incongruent facts in the movie: A wounded thug that kill dozens by himself, idiot cops that let the suspect run away, an untrained paid killer that runs away in the most impossible situations, etc. I'm highly disappointed, this movie is not half as good as The Chaser. I even thought it was made before The Chaser, it turns out it was made after. You really have to love action movies to like a movie like this one. Don't waste your time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member What an awesome movie. SKorea really knows how to make the best revenge/thriller movies. All my fav's from this genre are from there. There was very little comedy in this one, which is rare from my experience. But the pacing is fantastic as once it gets going, it's unrelenting til the credit roll. The acting was perfect. Each character looked like and acted their part extremely well, which really helps with shutting everything else off and being sucked in by the movie. The cinematography was nice. But the best thing about this movie is the plot. How things go from a to b to c is fascinating especially due to the unexpected turns. And the run-time flies by so don't let that intimidate you. I highly recommend this movie for fans of dark thrillers or horrors. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Violent, overly long and hard to follow Korean thriller has some great chase sequences but is nonetheless violent....
