Audience Member Beautiful realistic film from the perspective of the birthing woman. Empowering for all women who want to have babies, for all of their partners who want to support them. We never see a natural proces like this ever. We need more films and images like this in our world as for people to become less scared of the birthing process. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched this weekend. It is one of the most authentic examples of physiologic, undisturbed birth I've ever seen recorded on film. I laughed, I cried, I relived many moments from my own births. The cinematography is absolutely beautiful. I can not say enough good things about this film. Watch it, talk about it, encourage your friends and family to watch it. This film has the potential to unhinge the fear surrounding birth that has invaded out culture. It has the potential to teach young people about the power and transformation that happens when new life enters this world. My thanks to all the people who played a roll in making this beautiful piece of art. It's a film about empowerment. It's a film about the most essentially human event there is, which has long been co-opted, controlled, and hidden by a medical establishment that treats a normal and vital human process as if it were a disease. This is what happens when women reclaim that process. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member These Are My Hours is a fantastic, tender film. Many thanks to Emily for sharing her labor with the world. She is a truly tremendous person, and the filmmakers do a wonderful job framing her story. Amazing stuff. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member An amazing raw look at how strong women's bodies are at bringing life into the world. Absolutely beautiful. I love the filming style and how it shows the mother to be's vulberability and strength in every scene. A true miracle of birth story Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
