Nick Schager Slant Magazine Director Tahani Rached's documentary These Girls exudes empathy and respect for its destitute Egyptian teenage subjects' plight. Rated: 3/4 Oct 11, 2006 Full Review Jay Weissberg Variety Skillful, tight editing reveals the volatile patterns of behavior, shifting suddenly from fights to confessions, dancing to despair, yet in the end the girls are always fiercely supportive of each other. May 26, 2006 Full Review Duane Byrge Hollywood Reporter A rousing documentary on the street children of Cairo, These Girls is an agonizing and uplifting depiction of street survival at its most daunting. May 22, 2006 Full Review Jon Popick Planet S Magazine You can't make a movie about the Boogey Man without showing him at least once. Sep 6, 2006 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Director John Hazlett imbues the film with all the style of a movie-of-the-week, something that's reflected in the routine, predictable storyline. Audience Member 67% on RT? This movie is so deplorable. It is simply awful. All of these characters do nothing but piss me off. All the girls are sick and need to be put away, and David Boreanaz is just as guilty of being a horrible human being. Where is the entertainment value in a movie populated with nothing but gross human beings? I mean, I guess you see some T&A from time to time as the film goes on. But to what end? Empty T&A is overly empty. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Not good. Really not good. But David B. naked makes it all worth watching... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member David is great and the girls aren't bad actresses either, but it really has no point. just a movie for teen girls. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I laughed a few times. Would it be possible to combine strong female teenaged characters with a good movie? Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Booooorrrring. Oh, and a play on the "rape-is-funny-when-it-happens-to-a-guy" trope. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Well I can't complain about a nearly naked David Boreanaz however the rest of movie was a hot mess of teenage girls blackmailing the "grown man" into having sex with all of them. Unsure of why these girls would all be ok with sharing... but I suppose it was slightly fun to watch the drama go down. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
