Dean d This movie is so nostalgic and Iconic. It’s very enjoyable and quite entertaining. Highly recommend watching if you are a fan of golden era Hollywood. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Jeff M I wanted to like this movie so much that I literally caught myself willing it to be better than it actually was. Obviously, there's going to be fun to be had with this cast no matter how bad the material. I mean, seriously, anyone who knows anything about the last century of Hollywood who sees these three actresses along with ELIZABETH TAYLOR in the same project, well, that's beyond an embarassment of riches. And co-written by Carrie Fisher, the daughter of Reynolds and one of the great witty personalities of recent memory. It's a shame that the result, when being honest, is sitcom-level material that is undeniably fun up to a point but should have been SOOOOO much better. The screenplay is filled with more than a few good zingers, and it has a lot of fun mixing together the actual lives of the actresses along with the characters they are portraying. But in the end, it all feels really cheap - like a special 2-hour episode of a television comedy. And forgive me for being blunt, but the supporting cast is C-level at best and not worthy of these caliber of legends. In the end, it all feels like a missed opportunity. Nonetheless, I will never regret taking the time to watch this once-in-a-lifetime chance to see this quartet of actresses together. If only the movie itself was worthy of their talents. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Audience Member With a cast such as this one, I had higher expectations. I was disappointed. It was more silly than it was funny. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member gr8 cast makes this one go Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute and funny the way Carrie Fisher does. Had a disturbing plot twist towards the end... but thoroughly enjoyable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Jesus wept! No wonder this was only a TV movie. Very hammy and cheesy, although there are some quite nice insider digs amongst the overacting barbs. This was clearly a vanity project. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
