German-American Carl (George Sanders) is tapped by the U.S. government to infiltrate the Bund, a Nazi propaganda organization. Though Carl is chastised by his own family for joining the group, he refuses to break cover. He later assumes the identity of a Nazi agent and works his way to the Bund headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. There he encounters Frau Reiter (Anna Sten), the wife of the man whose identity he stole, and she tries to expose Carl as a U.S. operative, putting his life in danger.

05/24/2014 Good movie. I didn't see a thing wrong with it, (caution, spoilers) except that they kind of left what happened to Helga hanging out there. As for "alarming images", there are none. That's just silly. See more 05/17/2014 Very loosely based on historical events, this WWII propaganda pieces unfortunately doesn't hold up over the test of time, despise a solid cast. Georege Sanders goes undercover as a Nazi to uncover a dastardly Nazi plot to, you guessed it, blow up America. Ward Bond is onboard to also fight the dirty Nazis and you've also got Charles McGraw and John "Schultz" Banner of "Hogan's Hero's" fame playing dirty Nazis.
