Dustin W The directing and editing seem to be done by a newbie. Shaky cam movements and the editing constantly jumping almost makes you sick. Its a shame an inexperienced person did this documentary. I had to shut it off after 5 mins. Read the books out there on psychic spies. They are great and you won't feel like you're gonna go into a seizure. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Jeni C One of the best documentaries I have seen about the topic. Well put together solid and good information from very reliable sources. Russell Targ's techniques really do work. I know from experience. If you are even slightly intrigued by the topic you will absolutely love it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Recently watched this film. I'm very interested in this phenomenon and I really do want to support this director for his work. I think the documentary was well-researched and there were revealing facts brought to the table by credible CIA sources and Stanford intellects. Anyone who doesn't leave this with some openness towards the topic has some serious chastity. However, I'm saddened because I found it's delivery was so tacky that it made that its message difficult to take seriously, even as someone who has a vested interested and supports the idea it delivers. The music, the constant montage and animation clips were distracting and awkward, and only give credence to anyone approaching it as a skeptic. I would love to see this topic reflected intelligently and fairly. Psychic phenomenon is real, it just doesn't fit nicely into society's current framework. It's just too bad it's explored with such extremism. I basically just wish this film could be re-edited without the constant flashy crap. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member When the United State's intelligence agencies and military discovered the Soviet Union was actively researching PSI for military purposes, there was a panic that the west was falling behind and creating a "psychic gap." This movie is about the history of remote viewing projects in the U.S. headed by people such as American physicist Russell Targ. Targ co-founded Stanford Research Institute's (SRI) federally funded program to study "remote viewing," which is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target using parapsychological means. This film does a fantastic job looking into the secret history of America's remote viewing initiatives and how they ended up being extremely successful despite the attempts by critics to derail the program(s). The director, Lance Mungia, has spent years doing his research and interviewing people who have kept silent for many years. This film is fascinating, well researched and crafted, and has information that has never been revealed before. I highly recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film provides a fascinating insight into how seriously this subject is taken by our government and others. Watch with an open mind.
