AMAZING ! It inspired me to write:
Por momentos me desconecto
Veo una serie
Me meto en la historia
Río, después de días
Me siento libre
Veo los sueños de Maria Luiza
La pasión de Ligia
La lucha de Adela
Ese sentimiento, esas emociones, ese ingrediente puro de esencia humana
Me tocan el alma
I love how they portrayed the 60s, the gender breach, racial issues, the perfection of the entanglement with the story and characters is indescribable! The beginning of a necessary feminism, no doubt. Everyone should watch it to peek through a window just 50 years ago and see how long we've come but yet still have to keep going.

This is essential viewing for anyone who loves bossa nova. It is an intimate view of the history of this wonderful music, lovingly presented by the people who were there at its core. One of the many highlights of this documentary is a talk and performance by Tom Jobim's son, Paulo. There is plenty of music to enjoy here, though rarely is an entire song played (For that see the fantastic DVDs: 'Tom Jobim: Waters Of March'; also 'Tom Jobim: No More Blues'). I only wish the legendary João Gilberto, who is still alive, was interviewed for this charming documentary.
