Synopsis
In this documentary, American filmmaker Chris Hume visits Cuba, where he secretly films scenes of everyday life for an entire year. Hume captures the routines, underground cultures and beliefs of ordinary Cuban citizens, who in truth speak out often against their Communist dictator Fidel Castro. Hume's handheld camera watches as thousands of unemployed Cuban people risk their lives by setting out on desperate journeys for the U.S. coast on handmade rafts and boats.
