Somehow this movie has made it into my top five favorite of all time. Number one being true. Romance with taxi driver behind it by a nose. Thursday is gritty and has a b-movie feel with an amazing cast of characters. Whoever landed these actors for this seemingly low-budget film should be applauded. The gore and violence trimmed with comedy and brilliance. It might take two or three viewings to catch some of the genius. But this movie really is genius. Simple. To the point. Violent. Sexy. Thrilling. Maybe the most underrated and under-recognized gangster/action/ comedy endeavor. Even has a good soundtrack. I had to get my DVD copy from somewhere in deep Eastern Europe which is odd but apparently the female co-star is huge over there and so they had a surplus. Subtitles are in Czechoslovakian and I believe. Thursday is a kick-ass movie.

Gore galore and rightfully so, this will take some aback. It makes you know what to expect right from the opening scene which oozes with tension. Thursday has violent excesses but it is needed to move the plot though not always. Not bad, is hilarious unintentionally.

Uncomfortably misogynistic and filmed with the flat lighting of a TV production, this is a Tarantino ripoff that wasn't very good to begin with and time has not been kind to.
