Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times It's a delightful romantic comedy, traditional in form but contemporary in feeling. Rated: 4/5 Sep 12, 2008 Full Review Pete Hammond Boxoffice Magazine The conclusion is pat and painfully obvious, but it all seems in line with what passes for romantic comedy today. Audience Member :rotten: Call me "Malinchista" (yup, I'm mexican) but I can't stand the contemporary mexican cinema for many reasons: first, the stories show the worst of mexican society, brainless people star these movies; second, the screenplays are full of bad words and lots of unpolite dialogues that make me feel mad and ashamed; third, these productions hire awful actors taken from "telenovelas" that make audiences think they are still watching a soap opera... movies are shorter, thank goodness and finally, most of these movies have awful technical values: terrible cinematography, confusing edition, 0 creativity, bad directors. This film sucks, I'm giving it a "1" because Paquita la del Barrio made me laugh the disgusting and vulgar song "Rata de Dos Patas". I'm sorry but I honestly think Mexico has much better things to show about our culture to the entire world and I confirm my statement: Almost nobody knows how to make pictures in Mexico. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
