One of its strengths is its willingness to engage candidly and open-heartedly with the real issues that confront teenagers, giving it some heft and credibility. Go to Full Review

Miles ahead in terms of production values and an avoidance of overt proselytizing. It'll likely be an enormous hit with the evangelical communities at which it's targeted. That doesn't save it from being an utter failure outside that narrow context. Go to Full Review

To Save a Life would be bland and boring even as a half-hour after-school special. Go to Full Review

It does accomplish its mission of presenting a heartfelt and well thought out story through the eyes of faith. Go to Full Review

Ronan H @RJThePro Aug 30 This movie had a great theme and lesson for everybody. That was about the only redeeming factor of it however. The acting was incredibly mediocre. The script was forced at times. The sets were lacking. And while the plot was redeeming at times, it was not redeeming enough. The characters were incredibly one-dimensional (which is kind of the point). At times, especially the beginning, it felt like I was watching a high school student’s iMovie. The effects, when they were there, were just so under budgeted it was insane. While this movie was a great pitch, the execution of it was so utterly horrific that it scares me. See more Robin R Dec 27 I love this movie! It is refreshingly realistic without being graphic, and gives a faith-based message without being religious. It does a good job of weaving many, perhaps most major issues teens face into one less-than-2-hour storyline. The casting and acting are great. Probably the only negative thing I have to say about the movie is that it is worthy of a better title - this one is pretty cheesy. I bought the DVD long before streaming became popular, and I've watched it many times. See more Liam H 09/03/2024 Another film with a huge disconnect between critics and audience. Why? Because critics, by and large, are heathens who do not get it. See more 04/27/2022 BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE!!!!!! See more 09/06/2019 Poor camera work and low resolution, i would comment on the acting and story if this was not the biggest problem and why is the poster so high resolution. i would change this comment i can find a better quality copy See more 08/07/2019 Empty and a little racist.
