Pauline Kael The New Yorker [Tootsie] has what the best screwball comedies had: a Can-you-top-this? quality. Sep 12, 2023 Full Review Bob Thomas Associated Press Both [Garr and Lange] are excellent, and Miss Lange continues her promise to become a superstar of the 1980s. Kevin P An interesting tackle on gender roles that feels like a precursor to Mrs. Doubtfire. I was considering a 9/10, but wasn’t sure about its complicated relationship with how it executes the feminism that it outwardly preaches. It’s very funny and Dustin Hoffman gives it his all, even if his first girlfriend’s relationship and the boundaries he crosses takes it down a slight notch. But still, I’d argue it’s less creepy and more original than its more famous cousin “Mrs. Doubtfire” in my book. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Gertrude F I like it... I think? I just need time to process everything... I just feel a bit freaked out right now. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review Ilaria C My favorite movie. That's it, that's my review. It's my #1. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Pedro G Muy buena película, una gran comedia muy divertida y original. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/24 Full Review Alec B Undeniably has some great scenes (i.e. just about anything with Teri Garr or Bill Murray) but on the whole its a little too long and the romance isn't all that convincing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Madie R This might just be one of the greatest comedies I've seen. Dustin Hoffman is 100% believable as a woman. "I was a better man with you, as a woman... than I ever was with a woman, as a man. " Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
