Kyle MacLachlan does a very good imitation Cary Grant in this forced and contrived tale.

PridePosterStudios You would NOT want to make a noise in the bingo hall when she’s in there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review martin a A delightful film, about a man's mother who comes to stay and he, does all he can to hide his relationship with his boyfriend and loses him in the process, By the time his mother finds out his boyfriend has gone and everything falls apart. However, throughout his best friend Cary Grant is there to support him! It is a lovely film, the only issue is Kris Holden-Ried who plays the boyfriend is really vile as the partner, and also badly cast in the role. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member it's a silly rom com but i've got a lot of sentiment for it. And come on it doesn't deserve 36%, though I understand that straight people get to be more picky with their romantic comedies with happy endings. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This basically worked because of the whole "ethnic" thing, that brought a kind of freshness to the story.I liked it mostly for that. And of course who could resist the Cary Grant spirit? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Only watched bits of it in & out, yet brilliant nonetheless! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member What do you get if you mercilessly rip-off "The Wedding Banquet" and then add a big dose of "Play It Again, Sam" to kind of hide the fact? This. Only in true Canadian film industry fashion, none of the actors are really good enough to pull it off. Kyle MacLachlan is the big name they pulled in and if I never see him do a Cary Grant impersonation again, I can truly die a happy man.
