Michael B Very sweet and funny movie. Not your typical romcom. It has a few unexpected turns. Excellent NYC spots too (lots of Greenwich Village including Magnolia Bakery). Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review rosalind r A hilarious romp through the economics of love and real estate in New York's trendy West Village neighborhood! Samantha Simone is comic perfection as Liz Perry, the cash-strapped townhouse owner with a weakness for cupcakes and hot guys in skinny jeans, and Lee Tyler (George Barrow) is positively Darcy-esque as the arrogant real estate developer who tries to win her heart and buy her house. The two pint-size mafia guys (Joseph D'Onofrio and Al Linea) who lend George money to finance his hedgefunder Disneyland development project are completely over the top, and Jonas Barranca (Tommy Leroy) plays bad boy handyman Tommy Leroy with a laugh so comically maniacal that you want to love him despite his wicked ways. With a clever script, well-paced direction and eye-popping cinematography, Townhouse Confidential is the perfect rom com to watch this Valentine's Day!
