There's surprising depth to the story, beautiful style, and great action scenes accompanied by an amazing soundtrack. I find it difficult to capture where the quality of this movie stands, but i feel full and inspired by the end credits. Autobots, roll out! See more Joel H @RT47793553 Feb 10 It’s obvious to me now that The Transformers: The Movie was a misguided attempt by Hasbro executives to dispose of the old toy line and introduce an entirely new lineup. However, when I was a kid, I just understood that they killed off one of my heroes and I didn’t like his replacement. I also don’t understand why the tone is darker than the television series. But that didn’t stop me from liking this feature film adaptation of one of my favorite cartoons. And I actually still like it. So, while it was an unwise move for Hasbro, there is still more than meets the eye with The Transformers: The Movie.
