Odie Henderson RogerEbert.com While the caper plot has its moments, I kept hoping "Trash" would do more than treat its setting as some curiously unexplainable foreign planet. Rated: 2/4 Oct 9, 2015 Full Review Entertainment Weekly A diverting two hours, and an excellent reminder of the wide world of stories out there waiting to be told. Rated: B Oct 9, 2015 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times An intensive, propulsive political thriller representing a tautly executed return to form for director Stephen Daldry. Oct 9, 2015 Full Review Daniel Orton One Room With A View Trash is a magical film, possessing the ability to simultaneously anger you and lift your spirits as you are taken for a thrilling ride through the injustice of life in Rio de Janeiro. Rated: 4/5 May 17, 2019 Full Review Lucy Popescu CineVue Daldry has a rare talent... for drawing out the very best from young actors. The sheer joy and energy of the boys propels Trash and keeps us rooting for good over evil despite the contrived ending. Rated: 4/5 Apr 4, 2019 Full Review Jared Mobarak The Film Stage This effectively tense adventure also delivers the heart and heroism audiences love. Emilliano S Started as intriguing as slumdog millionaire vibes but failed to hold the momentum at the end Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/05/23 Full Review torin f The RT consensus nails it---and I'd add that TRASH is visually beautiful and deeply evocative throughout. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Filme muito bom, quase impecável.. Me chamou a atenção a trilha sonora também, perfeita. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review isla s This film has quite a 'Slumdog Millionaire' feel to it, in terms of the setting (children living in poverty , while others more well off live nearby) and chase scenes being present. The characters are quite endearing and I thought the cast did well. The plot is also quite good and I liked that its not especially predictable. There are other, similar films around, this one is primarily in Portuguese, although there are subtitles for those who don't speak the language - its perhaps not the most memorable of films but its still a good watch regardless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Heart warming story. Not all Family members are Blood. Great acting from the cast. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Gostei muito do filme muito divertido, a ideia passada é bem clara porém não deixa de ser um filme lúdico.
