Action-packed, funny, and thought-provoking, Trash finds feel-good cinema in real-life squalor without resorting to cheap sentimentality.

While the caper plot has its moments, I kept hoping "Trash" would do more than treat its setting as some curiously unexplainable foreign planet. Go to Full Review

An intensive, propulsive political thriller representing a tautly executed return to form for director Stephen Daldry. Go to Full Review

Daldry has a rare talent... for drawing out the very best from young actors. The sheer joy and energy of the boys propels Trash and keeps us rooting for good over evil despite the contrived ending. Go to Full Review

Highly recommended. See more 11/16/2022 Filme muito bom, quase impecável.. Me chamou a atenção a trilha sonora também, perfeita. See more isla s 09/03/2022 This film has quite a 'Slumdog Millionaire' feel to it, in terms of the setting (children living in poverty , while others more well off live nearby) and chase scenes being present. The characters are quite endearing and I thought the cast did well. The plot is also quite good and I liked that its not especially predictable. There are other, similar films around, this one is primarily in Portuguese, although there are subtitles for those who don't speak the language - its perhaps not the most memorable of films but its still a good watch regardless.
