Audience Member Saw this movie recently. As a psychologist, I have rarely if ever seen a film that so intuitively represents the soul-murdering experience of trauma, especially the interpersonal kind. We try to survive it by blaming ourselves as if we had control, but since we did not it banishes us from the world as we knew it and can barely remember it. We are forced to be strangers in a strange land wandering until we are again recognized as human. Augie Duke is some kind of experiential savant who is able to turn her mind inside out for all to see and to feel. In her bedroom, scene of the crime, she wanders far and wide and we follow. Gifted actress in a rare film that will rearrange what you think you know already. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Q Beautiful and heartbreaking tale. Poetically shot, brilliantly acted, wonderfully directed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/20/19 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times Zollo, and her daring lead actress, Duke, create a courageously personal, experimental piece, tapping into a raw emotional state not often rendered on screen with such depth and intelligence. Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The film's relentless artiness ultimately proves more off-putting than involving, distancing us from what should be a harrowing tale. Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Duke's audacious and expressive portrayal helps to compensate for the unfocused nature of this experimental video confessional. Oct 25, 2019 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Thoughtful, self-consciously arty but numbing portrait of a rape victim's solitary suffering through the after effects of her attack.
