America F Amazing story of an amazing president's rise Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Trolltoll One of the greatest campaigns of all time!!! They spread lie after lie afyer lie and still came thru. With the help of a real woman! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/22 Full Review alex s A greatest president of latest times! Period! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great footage and interviews. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member An enjoyable look back for Trump voters, and a painful redux for Clinton voters. Either way a worthwhile viewing for political junkies. There are many behind the scenes shots that give it value, however this is frankly a biased account filled with lots of onscreen opinions and handwringing by Halperin and Heilemann, and Bush advisors. The first minutes of the film, which introduces the makers and participants through their self-congratulatory Curriculum Vitae is almost a perfect illustration of the reason every bit of the establishment are incapable of understanding the 2016 election, then, now or perhaps ever. They have been the establishment for so long, intimately woven in with other players in the industry and a product of decades of smoothing out and creation through consensus, like a Cast Iron pan you've well seasoned and reliably cooked with your entire life...that anyone outside of that is completely unrecognizable and unacceptable. There was a humorous brief moment when they realized, there are no real handlers or writers on the Trump campaign, there's just him, out there, a guy with a hat and a microphone, telling it as he sees it. And because it's organic, and not scripted and digital, the standard counter-measures largely failed. Interesting show to watch and I do recommend it. Alissa Wilkinson Vox Trumped is a missed opportunity. Feb 3, 2017 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com Trumped plays way too much like a highlight reel from the last year, offering not nearly enough insight into the questions surrounding Trump's campaign and now-presidency. Rated: 2/4 Feb 3, 2017 Full Review Joe McGovern Entertainment Weekly The rushed nature of the film basically predetermined its mediocre quality. Rated: C Jan 30, 2017 Full Review Christopher Campbell Thrillist A phenomenal and often funny triumph of election coverage repurposed as history lesson. Feb 9, 2018 Full Review Travis Johnson FILMINK (Australia) ...there is a kind of car-crash fascination in watching the events unfold... Feb 5, 2017 Full Review Luke Buckmaster The Daily Review/Crikey Trumped adds a reasonable amount of meat to the bone, particularly in how the election played out in the eyes of local pundits. This is not something overseas audiences have necessarily had much exposure to. Jan 30, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
