Ian Kane Epoch Times When compared to some of Ford’s iconic classics, “Two Rode Together” may not shine as brightly, but it still stands as an admirable production. Rated: 3.5/5 May 1, 2024 Full Review Jordan M. Smith IONCINEMA.com Though certainly not as piercing as some of his work with his male muse John Wayne, the film remains a solid entry into the nihilistic anti-heroic take on the western. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 4, 2020 Full Review Manny Farber Artforum This is studio moviemaking at its slackest. Jun 13, 2019 Full Review Peter Canavese Groucho Reviews Ford may have made it for a quick buck—or perhaps as a favor to Columbia chief Harry Cohn—but the impact of the resulting film is far more that of a provocative drama than a tossed-off oater. Lanfranco C Are the Indians the bad Guys? It is not so easy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Blu B A hidden gem Ford Classic. While the pacing isn't bad it doesn't really have much of a climax and does meander a bit and is slow the entire way perhaps a bit too much. This probably could have about 15 minutes shaved off of it and not really lose much. Besides that though it's suprisingly well made all around. Stewart is a bit of a dick most of the time in this but he's still good. Widmark is solid and the supporting cast is pretty good overall. The shots and sets are good as well. This is pretty focused the entire way and does a good job focusing on the character drama in a focused matter. There is hardly any action in this at all and it defintely could've used a bit more of a showdown or something but the character drama does make up for it. It can be a bit cheesy/campy at times but it's well put together. I would say if your a big fan of Ford, vintage westerns especially the Rio Bravo style westerns, or any actors in this than give this a shot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Steve D ok western with great cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review William R. P It's a "buddy movie" with inane banter between Stewart and Widmark 🙁 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good western here you need to try at James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, April 16, 2023 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review Frank R Well done, filmed in Texas, it is a bad interpretation of the Cynthia Ann Parker true story. If you ignore that it is a good western, very entertaining. Well acted and directed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
