Turan F Vienna, 1969. Rafaelo Aranda, an Argentinian business man, is murdered by Valerie Steinfeld, a Viennese bookseller who apparently has never met him before. Manuel Aranda, his son, tries to find out the background of this crime. It turns out that his father has offered biological weapons to the US, the Soviet Union and China in turn. With the help of Valerie Steinfeld's niece he finds out that Valerie was involved in a hazardous paternity trial during the Third Reich in order to protect her half-Jewish son from the Nazis. The story itself is quite complex. However, the trial itself did take place, and the author had the original court files. It shows drastically how far people had to go in the Hitler era to have a chance to survive this dictatorship. Well made, no Hollywood streamlining, 4 out of five stars. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
