McElvisss A well-acted film with a talented cast. Clear the budget was mostly spent on said acting talent, with sets and special effects being rather lacklustre. It's a tragic story based on real events, but to me the writers just missed the opportunity to tug on the heartstrings as much as this story deserves to. Furthermore, I think more could have been done to emphasise the heroic successes of the team after the tragedy. Overall a good film, but missed the opportunity to maximise the highs and lows of the story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/14/22 Full Review Audience Member Everything you would expect from a film documenting a real life tragedy. Good insight into real events, passable acting led by a good Dougray Scott as Sir Matt Busby. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm writing this review as a Man United fan. You don't often expect too much quality from a BBC film and indeed this film has some drawn out moments but the gut wrenching emotion from the actors gives a sense of life to the players memories. Although dramatised it still gives a good and somewhat realistic look at the tragic end to the Busby Babes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Manny P "Munich The Documentary" was far more endearing than this melodramatic effort. It comes across as an elongated, over sentimental soap episode. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/22 Full Review Audience Member An extremely emotional and moving movie. An emotional rollercoaster. You will laugh, cry and feel uplifted. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It covers the tragedy of Munich as accurately as I can tell. A must see for fans of Manchester united.
