Synopsis
This controversial historical drama celebrates executed Japanese Prime Minister and World War II general Hideki Tojo (Masahiko Tsugawa) as a masterful tactician, courageous patriot and national hero. A year after the Japanese surrender, Tojo stands trial for war crimes. His transgressions include the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the torture of POWs and alignment with Axis forces. As the stress of the tribunal takes its toll on Tojo, his devoted wife, Katsuko (Ayumi Ishida), stands by his side.
