I disliked the mystic elements, and as much as I hate to admit it, I was sometimes confused about what was actually going on. Past and present got a bit blurry. I was also disgusted by the actions of Rennie's character but not in the way one might usually be for this type of movie. I think it comes from my primary source of CKR knowledge being Due South.
