Audience Member I enjoyed the film but wish I could watch it without having to read the subtitles. There were some laughs and some sadness of understanding that people can love for all reasons and not be judged for who they are. I love films where they introduce someone with a disability to get a message across to viewers without have to be judged and can be accepting of who they are and people who are living differently to them. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member sometimes it's difficult to watch foreign movies, but not this one. light romcom and I find it pleasurable to hear French. Dujardin is charming. I can see why they call him French George Clooney Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Likeable and enjoyable French rom-com with just about the right amount of quirkiness. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Dujardin shines as a successful architect who has to struggle with the prejudices against his dwarfism in love and everyday life. A credible, admirable, sometimes painful, tragicomedy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member cliches abound but i wasn't annoyed because i found myself smiling throughout the movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A truly marvelous film. Sweet, charming and completely engaging, this wonderful little Franco-Belgium project starring the wonderful Jean Dujardin and Virginie Efira tells the sweet and common story of a wonderful man who has it all, except for his size. It's about the struggle that women have when confronted with everything that they want, except size. Perhaps it is because I have known several women who dismiss men who are not tall - or because I have heard so many times from women friends that the physical appearance of their men is so important to them that I find this film so captivating. Not the first time that such a topic has been covered in film, but a charming modern take with a frank exploration of this feeling. Set aside your critical tendencies and immerse yourself in this wonderful romantic comedy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

David Stratton The Australian The nagging feeling remains that for a film that appears to position itself as a comedic assault on political correctness, it pulls too many punches. Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 2, 2016 Full Review Kate Muir Times (UK) A French rom-com starring Jean Dujardin as a handsome, charming architect with one little problem: he is 4ft 5in high. Rated: 2/5 Oct 10, 2016 Full Review Alex Migdal Globe and Mail Dujardin and Efira are both charming and beautiful, and the film glistens in its breezy cobblestoned scenery. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 2, 2016 Full Review Rachel Brook One Room With A View The plot's a supermarket sweep, but Up for Love displays a lot of technical elegance. Rated: 3/5 Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Alexa Dalby Dog and Wolf You want this power couple to get together in the end and it's a watchable, even if rather flawed, romcom. Rated: 3/5 Feb 20, 2019 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate It would be easy to pick on Up for Love as an offensive movie, but in reality, it's just useless. It's a stupid film with a stupid premise done stupidly. Aug 28, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
