Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful With compelling performances and strong direction, Up on the Glass will keep you on the edge of your seat... Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 21, 2020 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall It's an admirable attempt at psychological suspense, but it never gets its hooks in the audience. Rated: 2/5 Sep 17, 2020 Full Review MontiLee Stormer MovieReelist.com Up On The Glass is the kind of slow-burn thriller you forget is a thriller because the embers are cold and you got up to refresh your drink and never went back. Rated: 2/5 Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Raises some issues, personal and sociological, that are intrinsically interesting, but the indifferently written, laxly directed movie doesn't dramatize them effectively. Rated: D Sep 10, 2020 Full Review Alex Saveliev Film Threat Del Principe builds his house of cards with such assurance and precision that you can't help but get involved. Rated: 6/10 Sep 8, 2020 Full Review Joel Fisher Battle Royale With Cheese Those in the audience expecting a predictable, cheesy thriller may be disappointed as although Up on The Glass plays with these conventions, it intentionally never follows through on the familiar set ups and tropes of lesser titles. Audience Member This movie was intriguing from the beginning! I found Jack, the main character, very relatable as he, as an "outsider", struggled with the conflict that ensued as his fantasy life faced off with reality. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Ignore the other reviews, this film is original, thought-provoking, and touching. If you want to see something truly moving, watch this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member In his bold feature directorial debut, Del Principe skillfully crafts an understated thriller that combines vivid characters with a rich, dynamic setting. You'll undoubtedly appreciate the attention to detail and the intentionality that he's put into the project. Well done! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this film! The tension is thick and simmering throughout, but moments of humor and beautiful shots of Michigan's scenery keep it in balance so that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time without feeling drained by the end. I also appreciate the ways in which this movie made me think. The story frame is dramatic and larger-than-life, but dealing with isolation and balancing idealization with reality are issues I believe we all struggle with. The commentary on class dynamics and privilege was another aspect that resonated; especially in the current times when the income gap in America continues to grow. I found this film entertaining, thought-provoking, and timely, and I would highly recommend it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member An intricately crafted thriller that captivates audiences with the terrifying question: do we really know our friends? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member The script is well written, the acting and directing are great, and the setting adds a unique dimension because much of the film was filmed outdoors. All of that combined results in an engrossing film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
