Audience Member it's a beautiful and unique work of art. Truly a masterpiece! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Backstory: There was a local video rental store back in my hometown, it was around 2006 or 2007, and I wanted to grab a slasher film to watch as a movie night for myself. That is when I stumbled across this stain. I picked it up cause the cover looked cool, and I checked it out not knowing what I was really in for. It's been almost 15 years and I bought it off eBay and I watched it again. Big mistake. The acting is at the same level as something like, I don't know, maybe a High School play or something like that. That may seem like nothing, but believe me, everything gets worse from there. Now, I'll say the music is pretty good and is quite catchy, but everything else is just dreadful. #The editing - The editing is bad, and I mean really bad. Bad transitions, unneeded in-camera filters, bad audio syncing, etc. There is one sex montage in this film that literally defines bad editing. It's out of order because one part, the woman has her bra off, and then the next part it's on. Wow. Is continuity too difficult to ask for? The film also often cuts to a black screen with text reading the names of the characters, what an object is, or what is going on, complete with bad typing sound effects. The rest is just details. #Kills - The kills are very, very, very boring a mediocre, hardly any blood to speak of which is very disappointing because slasher films are known for having a decent amount of blood. The kills are also very poorly executed due to the bad, mediocre angles. #Cinematography - Cinematography is one of the most important aspects of any film in general, and this film really doesn't grab onto that. The cinematography is messy and is one of the reasons it's hard to understand what is going on most of the time, it's also very uninteresting, not like I expect it to be but still. The only time the cinematography is even slightly good is when it gets to the music video sequences. The rest is garbage. #Ending - This movie has a really shitty ending, and I mean it. I won't spoil the ending in case somebody might actually wanna watch this "film" (yes I used the term film very loosely). #Audio quality - The audio quality is awful. Just plain awful. And to double with that, the dubbing is very out of sync. It's also so bad you can hardly hear the sound effects to when someone gets stabbed, punched, etc. And of course, with bad audio quality, it's difficult to hear what is being said at times. Now, those were my basic main problems with the film. But believe me, there are more. I won't get too into those but I'll give you a heads up. -Lack of atmosphere, tension, and suspense. -Hard to tell what's going on. (I did mention that at some point in this review though). -Laughable villain. -Full of dated 90s shit despite being released in 2002. -Over the top racial stereotypes that make the characters chores to sit through. With my main reasons plus my bonus reasons, you basically have a taste of what this movie is. A bland, incomprehensible, campy (and not in a good way), poorly structured piece of garbage. I did give a 1 and a half because it was at least somewhat entertaining since I did laugh my ass off at everything this movie "accomplished" and yes, I used the term accomplished very loosely, cause it accomplished nothing. Any goal that this movie had, it didn't accomplish that goal. This movie a chore to sit through, but if you like a bad movie like I do from time to time, I'd recommend it.
