Dennis Harvey Variety Despite its new thematic wrinkle, the five segments here feel familiar in ideas and unmemorable in execution. It’s a middling addition to a variably inspired anthology brand that will no doubt trundle on through more installments yet. Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The V/H/S series happily shows no sign of slowing down, and V/H/S/Beyond is as thrilling an entry as any that has come before it. Just don’t plan on going skydiving anytime soon after watching. Rated: 3/4 Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News “V/H/S Beyond” grossed me out, made me laugh and made me jump — and it set a high bar for ensuing entries to jump over. Rated: 3/4 Oct 2, 2024 Full Review John Daniel Tangalin The Cinema Spot The collaborative direction for V/H/S/Beyond is wholly appreciative. The franchise continues experimenting with visual antagonisms brought to the screen, frequently changing the overarching meaning of the films. Rated: 4.5/5 Jul 18, 2025 Full Review Cody Allen Geek Vibes Nation Each segment in V/H/S/Beyond feels like a piece of a darker puzzle, stitched together by an unsettling curiosity for what lurks beyond the boundaries of reality. Rated: 8.5/10 Jul 18, 2025 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine As with Shudder’s previous instalments, the new film operates as a curate’s egg: five horror-themed short films with an even mixture of good and bad parts. Liz K It's okay. But the main issue is the reliance of CGI that makes some of the shorts look too corny, especially Live and Let Dive, considering it was after Stork which had great practical effects. Also, the only short that had an interesting premise/story was Stowaway. The rest are just the same beats over and over. Please just stick to practical visual effects and use CGI sparingly. Try using old VHS/90s era tech as well, like title card generators, filters, video toasters, etc. It just seems there's great ideas involved, but not committed or followed through enough to deliver and then reverts to using CGI to play it safe. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Audience Member Sakto lang. Parang nag focus lang masyado sa UFO. Oks nman sya. Pang 4th bale sya sa akin na pinaka ok sa vhs series Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Nils Manuel D Cool movie and not like the others. V/H/S is an interesting type of movie franchise but, It's mostly aliens ripping people apart. It's very creative with it's Tapes. worth watching if you have a long attention span. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Jaime A Good movie of V/H/S , nothing more than that Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/27/25 Full Review Daniel B Not very creative, each of the short films is basically the same thing of very shaky footage of some alien ripping people apart. If you like that sort of thing, then I guess it will appeal but there's nothing very original. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/25 Full Review Brock B Some segments may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you gotta applaud the imagination and creativity of the writers and directors. Even if it is kinda weird. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Read all reviews
