Dennis Harvey Variety Despite its new thematic wrinkle, the five segments here feel familiar in ideas and unmemorable in execution. It’s a middling addition to a variably inspired anthology brand that will no doubt trundle on through more installments yet. Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The V/H/S series happily shows no sign of slowing down, and V/H/S/Beyond is as thrilling an entry as any that has come before it. Just don’t plan on going skydiving anytime soon after watching. Rated: 3/4 Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News “V/H/S Beyond” grossed me out, made me laugh and made me jump — and it set a high bar for ensuing entries to jump over. Rated: 3/4 Oct 2, 2024 Full Review Michael Talbot-Haynes Film Threat V/H/S Beyond punches enough buttons to keep the blinking lights on in your skull tonight. Rated: 7.5/10 Dec 5, 2024 Full Review Britt Hayes MovieWeb The latest installment in the found-footage horror series is V/H/S/Beyond, a collection of segments based on aliens and featuring some of the franchise's best and gnarliest special effects to date. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 5, 2024 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) V/H/S/Beyond is another frighteningly fun entry in the franchise which continues to give a platform to exciting fresh filmmakers. Tom T Going mostly all alien is an easy win for me. With any anthology there’s gonna be mixed opinions. The general arc connects better than most, but I wrote my senior thesis on Project Blue Book so I’m disqualified. #DreamGirl Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review GenZFox M I think the point of the vhs series is rooted in abnormality and the type of horror that I can't just come up with. These are absolutely someone's fears and disturbances put to film and for that I'll always be a fan. I find such adoration in true creative thought to paper. These are the best movies to go in blind, let the concept suprise you. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Jeffrey P The saga continues... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/15/24 Full Review Judson E I haven't liked any of the VHS movies, but this one they really stepped up their game. The first story was great, I wouldnt mind a full length feature of that one, the creature design and action was nice. I found each story to be entertaining but it seems to suffer from the same issues of the entire franchise, which is being very basic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Tison H One of the low points in the series. There are five segments in the movie. The third feature titled “Live and Let Dive” was probably the best and most like previous VHS installments. The overarching story is completely non-consequential and leads nowhere. Surprisingly, only 2/5 of the segments were about aliens. The others involved zombies, monsters, and robots. Sadly, I believe this film falls in line with VHS Viral as far as quality goes. I want to see more from this franchise, but I would like them to return to the roots of what made the first film great. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Kyle G Wow. Extremely boring. None of these were scary at all. Goofiness trumped the horror aspect. I get it is supposed to be found footage, but there should really be a limit to how much screen shake/blur there is. More than half the movie is blur. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
