Rated 0.5/5 Stars •  Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/24 Full Review Audience Member An Indonesian comic book movie that feels like a breath of fresh air given all the massive blockbusters we've been exposed to The city of Batavia is filled with crime being no longer safe for citizens Srimaya is then recruited by a producer Bono to give the city a role model to give people hope She becomes Valentine; a costumed hero patrolling the streets and specializes in hand to hand combat given she only works as a waitress She's an internet sensation But the real challenge will be taking on criminal king Shadow The only real famous face is Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl but newcomer Estelle Linden does wonders playing this heroine The fight choreography is intense and very well executed next to some big explosive set pieces We also find out the real reason Bono wants this superhero Valentine to exist Plus the very end there's way more plot twists to be had and they worked pretty effectively Directors Ubay Fox and Agus Pestol surprisingly make an entertaining flick that moves by quick, has excitement, and enough antics for the female vigilante/superhero category Could we see more like this in the future? Estelle Linden, Matthew Settle, Arie Dagienkz, Ahmad Affandy, and the rest of the cast did an excellent job in this movie. The plot of the movie was action-packed, thrilling, and dramatic. It has a great twist and the fight scenes are very cool. It's about fighting for the weak and exposing the truth about people that should've never be trusted. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime on YouTube or any streaming service that has it. It's a must see. Rated 4/5 Stars •  Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Low budget film. Great effort in her first movie, starring lead Estelle Linden. First movie featuring Indonesian martial arts style Silat. Film adaptation of a comic book hero that is reminiscent of a more mature Kick Ass female crime fighter. If your expectations are not too high it is an enjoyable film. I'd like to see a sequel with more funding to further develop the character.
