Possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. It was slow and drawn out, at times it was painful. I began to count the fades to black as a way to make it to the end. Subtitles were unnecessary, it was virtually a silent film.

A beautifully filmed B&W period piece that is timeless in the sense that it addresses systems and cycles of oppression in which even today we are caught up in. A film about a girl told from the perspective of a woman, director Daniella Thomas, the audience is respected intellectually as if reading a novel, in which the characters motives and desires are implicitly revealed. A rare and special contemporary film. I highly recommend "Vazante".
