Suprateek A I have so many memories associated with this film as a kid and I used to watch it every time it was on TV. So when I watched it again after so many years I felt very nostalgic. This film is so heartwarming and amazing that I just love it. It never gets old and is definitely evergreen. I don't think I have ever seen a better depiction of an Indian family ever, it's so natural that it's amazing. This film's beauty lies in its simplicity. I believe that's the reason people owned the film. Raghuvaran's relationship with his mom will forever be my favourite and the way their relationship ends always breaks my heart. Coming to the writing of this film, I never realised how well written it actually was. Raghuvaran had a really great arc and the turning point of his arc was very well showcased. Amala Paul had a great character too and I remember having a crush on her when I was a kid. She's so cool in this film! My only complaint would be with the antagonist who in my opinion could've been really better. He came off as kind of silly which didn't sit that well with me, he did have a lot of potential to showcase how individuals with no qualifications get the high ranking jobs. The performances of this film are just really sweet, Dhanush and Amala Paul did have alot of chemistry and I always ship them. Samuthrikani and the actor who played Karthik were amazing as well. But in my opinion Saranya as the mother is the standout performer in the film and was just too good. She is probably my favourite mother character ever(my other favourite characters are just orphans). In the end all I can say is that I will never get tired of this film and I'm happy about it.
