Single mother Teena is brutally assaulted by a local gang in front of her 12-year-old daughter Bethie. Despite Bethie being able to identify the attackers, the defense hires a local hot-shot defense attorney who manipulates the law to their advantage. Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

The ending ruins the movie. Talitha Bateman in the movie is the best at acting. Nicholas cage just needed a pay check I guess.

This falls under Cage needed a paycheck category. Because he did Raising Arizona he gets a pass and always will for paycheck movies.

This is like a way to see all the possible mistakes a revenge flick can make, from ludicrously bad acting to a plot that's had less development than a well made cocktail. Technical things like camera work are all over the place, the direction makes ya wonder if the former stuntman-turned-director took too many knocks to the head already, and even Cage looks like he's been slipped about four Xanax when croaking the cartoonishly over-the-top bad guys. One-point-five only because somewhere in this garbage heap you can ALMOST make out the original novel - about as closely as you can see images in ink blots.
