Audience Member Police procedural genre this time featuring Vera, an older frowsy woman as chief investigator. A fine performance Brenda Blethyn in the lead. Escapes formulaic murder mysteries, realistic portrayals of characters without the Hollywood air brushing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Trapped underground, a Mexican miner hallucinates, encountering a green alien creature who leads him into the spirit world. Interesting at times, but it lacks the visual effects budget it needs to realize its overly ambitious psychedelic visions. Good evidence as to why you should always splurge for the top shelf peyote; never settle for the dried and shriveled buttons they're offering at half off.
