Arthur Leroldi (John Ratzenberger) runs a small-town barbershop that's steeped in tradition. When his business associate, Enzo, dies, Arthur, who is talented with shears but not bank ledgers, finds himself on the brink of losing the shop. To spruce up his business, Arthur reluctantly hires a young cosmetologist, Gloria MacIntyre (Shelly Cole), who can both cut hair and balance the books. But Gloria's recent run of bad luck may put Arthur's beloved barbershop back in jeopardy.

Hank Sartin Time Out Rated: 3/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader The only reason to see this modest indie drama is an affecting performance by John Ratzenberger. Feb 20, 2009 Full Review Stan Hall Oregonian t's the friendly, occasionally touching chemistry between Ratzenberger and Cole that makes The Village Barbershop likable on its own terms. Feb 20, 2009 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze While slick, splashy casino comedies may be on the wane with the economic crisis, this movie about working stiffs in those same glitzy towns just struggling to get by in the shadows of money orgy meccas like Vegas and Reno, is above the rest. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A fairly routine indie dramedy about two down-on-their-luck people who save each other with their unlikely friendship. Ratzenberger is good and Cole solid, but everything else is by the numbers. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member seriously amazing movie!!!
