Neil Young The Hollywood Reporter When the music stops and the dialogue has to carry the burden of character and narrative development, Villegas is a little too restrained and laid-back to ever properly engage us with the cousins or their volatile, decades-old relationship. May 22, 2012 Full Review Bob Verini Variety A film of choice moments rather than a fully realized work. May 15, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member It is the story of two cousins who meet again as a result of the death of their grandfather, on the trip they will get to know their opposite personalities much more, creating very funny moments. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Quiet and slow - this is too reminiscent of the typical American mumblecore indie - Estebans at a Funeral, if you will. Not a lot happens on this half road trip, half family drama where pretty photography and meaningful gazes can mean almost anything you wish to interpret into it as nothing is spelt out and the audience is invited to fill in too many blanks. Not a bad film per se, but narratively just too abstract and vague for me (and the uncomfortably warm cinema didnt help either). Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
