It is a memorable, beautiful film. Go to Full Review

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Vision is didactic and a bit stilted-although to be fair, so are most mainstream biopics rehashing historical events more familiar than this one, which presents its subject as a rousing protofeminist. Go to Full Review

There was obviously much to this woman, yet somehow Visions feels curiously empty feeling. Go to Full Review

As a religious drama, It captivates me when Von Trotta captures an austere, absorbing and very realistic portrait of the desire for female independence. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

cees t 02/13/2021 Surprisingly progressive and regressive. See more 07/04/2020 Interesting and stoic film. See more 03/03/2018 incredible film...must see for women of faith, feminists and history buffs See more 04/30/2013 From what I have read about Hildegard von Bingen, she was a true visionary in her time. I was really looking forward to this film and learning more about her. While it is superbly acted, the film was surprisingly hollow. There seemed to be so much missing that would have given a better depth to the main character. A real letdown. See more 07/29/2012 very interesting and beautiful scenery See more 05/28/2012 Very complicated movie. Good to learn about the live if this composer. For many years I have listen her compositions.
